If you are considering using Organic nappies, you may be interested to learn a few facts about the nappies we use on a daily basis.
The UK produces about 3.5 billion disposable nappies or 800,000 tonnes of nappy waste per year.
Regular disposable nappies can take between 200 and 500 years to decompose.
The gel and chemicals that make up disposable nappies 'absorbent layer' are not subject to government controls or independent testing.
Sodium polyacrylate, the super absorber that makes disposables so absorbent, was removed from tampons in 1985 because of its link to toxic shock syndrome. Its possible effect on babies' thin skin and reproductive organs remains unstudied; meanwhile, trouble anecdotal evidence about health concerns and these chemicals continue to build.
Eco nappies don't contain the gels and chemicals of regular disposables and also decompose much, much quicker.
As parents, we want to provide our babies with the best possible start we can. So we started to evaluate alternatives and found Eco nappies to be far and away the best in terms of performance, convenience, value for money and environmental impact.
Eco Nappies maximise the use of sustainable and degradable materials. Using unique plant derived materials including pulp which is totally chlorine free, protecting the planet for your little angel.
Therefore, if you like the idea of organic nappies, but perhaps feel organic clothing, bedding, toys, accessories etc are slightly unaffordable, we can now make your chosen cake using all our quality ingredients, plus Eco nappies rather than our leading brand nappy.
